We are pleased to invite innovators, researchers, practitioners, advocates, and organizations to submit abstracts for MinoFest 2026, a conference focused on racialized reproductive and maternal health. This is an opportunity to share knowledge, elevate community-led solutions, and contribute to meaningful change in perinatal and reproductive healthcare systems.

Call for Oral or Poster Abstracts:

We welcome submissions for oral and poster presentations that showcase impactful research, policy analysis, community practice, and system-level innovations related to perinatal and reproductive health.

Sub-Themes:

Abstracts should align with one or more of the following sub-themes:

Redefining Perinatal Care

Breaking barriers and reimagining equitable, respectful, and person-centered perinatal and reproductive care experiences.

Advancing Cultural Safety

Strategies that promote culturally safe, anti-racist, and inclusive care practices across healthcare and community settings.

Technology and Innovation

Exploring how data, digital tools, and technological innovation can improve maternal and infant health outcomes and access to care.

Community-Led Initiatives

Highlighting community-driven and grassroots approaches that address healthcare inequities and advance reproductive justice.

Engaging Mental Health

Innovative approaches to perinatal mental health care, including evidence-informed interventions, community supports, and stigma reduction strategies.

Pursuing Policy Efforts

Policy initiatives, advocacy strategies, and systems-level reforms aimed at improving perinatal health outcomes and addressing structural barriers to care.

Abstract Submission Requirements

Research and Policy Abstracts

Those submitting research or policy-focused abstracts are required to provide:

  • Speaker contact details and list of co-authors, if applicable
  • Selected conference sub-theme
  • Presentation title
  • An abstract of 250 words or fewer covering background, methods, results, and discussion or conclusions

Practice-Based Abstracts

Practice-based submissions are encouraged and may include community programs, service delivery models, advocacy work, or systems change initiatives. These submissions should include:

  • Purpose of the work or initiative
  • Focus and content of the presentation
  • Significance in relation to the selected sub-theme
  • Intended target audience
