Call for Oral or Poster Abstracts:

Sub-Themes:

We encourage abstract submissions that align with one or more of the following sub-themes:

  • Redefining Perinatal Care: Breaking barriers and creating equitable perinatal experiences
  • Advancing Cultural Safety: Strategies to promote culturally sensitive care and inclusivity in healthcare practices.
  • Technology and Innovation: Harnessing the power of technology to enhance maternal and infant health outcomes.
  • Community-Led Initiatives: Spotlighting community-driven approaches that address healthcare disparities and explore solutions that are
  • Engaging Mental Health: Highlighting innovative approaches to perinatal mental health care, including evidence-based interventions, support systems, and stigma reduction strategies to enhance the well-being of mothers and families during the perinatal period.
  • Pursuing Policy Efforts: Exploring policy initiatives and advocacy efforts aimed at improving perinatal health outcomes, with a focus on addressing systemic barriers, promoting equitable access to care, and implementing evidence-based policies to support maternal and infant health.

Those submitting individual abstracts will be required to submit the

following information:

  • Speaker contact details and list of co-authors, if applicable
  • Conference sub-theme and Presentation title
  • An abstract of 250 words or fewer covering: background, methods, results, and discussion/conclusions. 

Those submitting practice-based abstracts are encouraged to include information on: Purpose,

focus/content, significance for the sub-theme and target audience.
