BORN is Ontario’s prescribed registry for perinatal, newborn, and child health. Established in 2009, BORN securely collects, interprets, and shares critical data on pregnancy, birth, and early childhood.

With over 1.9 million birth records — and information on nearly every birth in Ontario — BORN is uniquely positioned to make health inequities visible and measurable. BORN is working with communities and partners to expand sociodemographic (SD) and social determinants of health (SDH) data within the Registry.

BORN transforms information into actionable insights that drive system-level improvements and advance health equity across Ontario.
